Frank Ordaz Demo at the Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, CA
A couple weeks ago I attended Art of Painting in the 21st Century at the John Natsoulas Gallery. There was a painting demonstration by Frank Ordaz which was very satisfying to watch. Frank was generous with information and did a great job engaging with the crowd.
After the demonstration there was a panel that consisted of Kelly Detweiler, Professor of Art at Santa Clara University, DeWitt Cheng, Stanford Art Spaces curator and Pat Mahony, renowned painter.(https://natsoulas.com/event/art-painting-21st-century)
This was one of the best panels that I have ever been to (and I’ve been to quite a few). All the panelists were friendly, accessible and very knowledgeable. They were generous with their time and expertise. I never felt as connected to a group of panelists before. I guess timing is everything.
Working with google to improve site’s rating and discard code that may be malicious. Unfortunately, it looks like the RSS feed for art opportunities was compromised. This has been removed. If anyone has any recommendations for legitimate art feeds let me know.
One more thing, just as a precaution, I would change your password. Remember you always want to change your passwords for any sites at least every couple of months,
Disabling social settings as I try to determine fix for for google listings. Determine if there is a hack or better way to make sure site is compliant,
Happy New Year!
Many have lamented 2016 and many are apprehensive about 2017.
The nice thing about a new year is there is a sense of beginnings. I wanted to share the last painting that I completed in 2016, “Daybreak”. This is an 11″x14″ acrylic painting. Is this as sunset or a sunrise? I guess this can be determined by your perspective.
Last year I completed at least 13 paintings maybe more. I am currently workin on a new commission piece and will share more about that in the coming weeks.
Hope you all have a Happy New Year!
