Catalyst is an evolving collection of expressive paintings in which sound and movement inspire abstraction, experimentation, and spontaneous mark-making. Each work develops through a balance of artistic intention and unexpected discovery.

Kevin Trivedi is a California-based contemporary painter, educator, and curator whose work explores the relationships between humanity, nature, energy, and transformation.
For Trivedi, philosophy is as much a part of his palette as color and form. Each painting begins with an exploration of ideas, informed by his belief that we exist within and draw upon a larger field of energy. Through the creative process, that energy finds expression in color, movement, and imagery.
Trivedi founded ArtistScape Fine Art & Creative Services in 1999.

Purple Tree
I did this painting years ago for my Graduate Degree. This was part of a landscape series that featured combining the fauvist palette with principles of atmospheric perspective. I enjoyed the composition on this one as it helped me achieve a desired modern or contemporary sensibility.

Day at the Park
This painting was a series of small 5″x7″ paintings that I did while I was part of Brick Alley Studios. Again, this is an older painting dating back a few years ago. This series were popular with collectors. Have a great weekend everyone!

Central Coast
Painting I did of the Central Coast California. This is inspired by places like Monterey, Pacific Grove and Asilomar. This was done a few years ago and is currently on display at the Kennedy Gallery in Sacramento.
